Working Seasonally, and it ain't what you think!

In this episode, I talk about a revelation I had today, tht saw me complete a MASSIVE task, and get SUPER EXCITED about all the things to come in the next year! Buckle up baby, it is game on!! I talk about how I plan to chunk my business down into seasons (while admitting that I cannot beleive it took me two years to click that I could work seasonally in my role too....duuuhhh!!) and share my insights on how this can work on a broader scale. I discuss the topics and tips that I brain dumped and planned out for the next 12 months. These topics are relevant for each season and are designed to help you work in quality rather than quantity. I discuss the busy time of year during summertime, where you say goodbye to a whole host of children. I emphasizes the need for tidying up loose ends with bookwork and paperwork and settling in new children. I then go on to talk about how the topics I brain dumped relate to those tasks and topics that educators will be experiencing during that season. I chew the fat on how, in the beginning of autumn educators are already naturally talking about system stuff and getting into the nitty-gritty of intentional teaching. I emphasise the benefits of using intentional teaching to set oneself on a path for the rest of the year. I also acknowledge the challenges of the beginning of the year when new children settle in, and older children move on. The topics planned for the beginning of the year and moving into I share about my ultimate goal to have educators working in quality instead of quantity, not working outside of their work hours, and feeling confident in the entirety of their business. I want educators to be confident in programming and documentation, dealing with parents, managing and creating beautiful relationships with families and children, and confident in the business aspects of their business, such as financials. Overall, I just want to provide useful insights and strategies for educators to improve their business practices and work towards achieving their ultimate goals.
