Incorporating Loose Parts Into Your Practice | Feat. Katrina Keegan

Today we chat with Katrina Keegan from Bella Vintage resources.  Katrina has worked in ECEC for 32 years, 26 of those years were spent in long daycare and the past 6 years teaching ECEC at TAFE.  She is just as passionate now about children's development, education and play as she was when she started.  Katrina has now teamed that passion up with a few of her other favourite things, which is sustainability and Vintage items and this is where Bella Vintage Resorces was born.  Katrina collects repurposed, authentic resources, goes to services and hosts pop up shops with her van, Daisy.   The philosophy of Bella Vintage Resources 'I love the wonder of the story behind an item who was the person who loved this before us? Has this item travelled near or far? Was it a gift full of love or heartfelt thanks? Engaging the children in the story of these repurposed items will encourage them to connect with the resource; this will bring a shared respect and broaden their understanding of the world they live in'
