This masterclass is all about empowering children to take the lead in their own learning journey. We'll guide you through the process of doing less for the children so that they can do more for themselves, gaining confidence and independence along the way.

You'll discover the art of observation and learn how to observe more deeply to gain insights into each child's learning needs. This will help you plan accordingly and offer a more personalised learning experience.

We'll also teach you the benefits of making friends with Observations and Intentional Teaching, prioritizing Quality over Quantity for a more engaging and supportive learning environment.

Get ready to step back and watch the children take the lead in their own learning adventure - it's going to be amazing!

Day 1

March 27th, 7pm

You'll learn why it's essential not to do for children what they can do for themselves. We'll discuss how this can take away impetus and willpower, setting children up for a future where they rely on instructions rather than taking initiative. You'll learn how to encourage children to do things for themselves, and we'll discuss strategies for getting families on board.

Day 2

March 28th, 7pm

You’ll learn how to look at each child holistically and follow their lead. You'll discover firsthand how doing less allows more space for children to practice their skills, and we'll explore together the importance of noticing different interactions without your input. By the end of the masterclass, you'll feel confident in your offerings, choosing a course of action and sticking with it consistently.

Day 3

March 29th, 7pm

You will discover how to observe with a clear intent and without judgments. You will learn to allow events to unfold naturally without intervening and to simplify matters. You can keep a few tasks handy to occupy yourself while listening without participating in play. Use your observations to set goals for the children and adjust your teaching strategies accordingly. You'll be amazed at the difference it makes when you're not leading play!
